Strawberry Lemonade

Do you know how easy and delicious it is to make homemade lemonade? How about the strawberry kind? This is like pink lemonade, but real and not out of a weird fountain thing at a fast food joint. You should make it. I have faith in you.
Homemade Strawberry Lemonade
The juice of 6 lemons, or enough to make 1 1/2 cups
The juice of 1 orange
10 strawberries, sliced, or enough to make 1 cup
2 tbsp of water
1 cup of sugar
8 cups of water

In a medium saucepan, combine the strawberries, 2 tablespoons of water, the orange juice and the cup of sugar. Heat over medium high heat until the mixture boils, then turn the heat off and cover the pot. Let the strawberry sauce sit for 10 minutes.

In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice and 8 cups of water.

Mash the strawberry sauce with a potato masher until a chunky puree forms. Add the strawberry sauce to the lemonade and stir to combine.

You can add more lemon juice is the lemonade is too sweet for you or vise versa with sugar.

Serve with lemon slices over ice.
