Turkey, Bacon, Avocado Subs

Charlie and I love this sandwich place nearby, but it's pretty pricey, so we rarely go. I did a re-creation at home, and it was wonderful.

Turkey Bacon Avocado Subs
2 hoagie rolls, cut in half
6 slices of deli turkey
2 slices of American cheese
4 slices of bacon, cooked crisp
1 avocado, sliced
Italian dressing
Shredded lettuce

Preheat the oven to 400'. On a tin foil-lined baking sheet, lay the hoagie rolls out, topping one hoagie side with mayo, and the other with 3 slices of turkey. Bake for 5 minutes, or until the hoagie rolls start to brown and the turkey begins to heat through.

Remove the subs from the oven and top the turkey side with a slice of american cheese and two slices of bacon. Return the subs to the oven and cook until the cheese has melted.

Remove the subs from the oven, again, and top with the avocado, Italian dressing and shredded lettuce.
