You know those frozen pizza roll things that are so completely addicting but give you the worst heartburn ever? These aren't them. They're better.
1 can of refrigerated pizza dough
1 bag, 8 oz, of shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp of butter, melted
1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
Pizza toppings: ham & pineapple, sausage, pepperoni, bell peppers, etc...
Marinara sauce for dipping
Preheat the oven to 350'. Grease a pie pan with nonstick spray or butter.
Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into squares with a pizza cutter. Top each square with mozzarella cheese and any other toppings. I made half with just cheese and half with ham and pineapple.
This is the tricky part. Take opposite corners of the squares and tuck them together, forming a ball. Place the ball seam side down in the pie pan. Each pizza ball can touch, as they'll just rise together in the oven.
Brush the tops of the pizza puffs with the melted butter and then sprinkle them with the parmesan cheese and Italian seasonings. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Pull apart and serve with marinara sauce on the side. You'll never buy those frozen pockets of dehydrated sauce again.
