Coke Can Chicken

My best friend Bri had this brilliant idea to make chicken with a coke can shoved up its nether regions. She saw this recipe awhile back, and we decided to make it with rosemary potatoes. Delicious.

"Spaghetti" Squash

Charlie and I went grocery shopping the other day (good thing, because we're practically snowed in) and we bought a spaghetti squash for $1.99/lb. I don't know if that's a good deal, but it looked so good. I'm a fan of squash that's roasted with brown sugar and butter. That's probably because that's the way my mom makes it. Well, Charlie's mom makes it by topping it with spaghetti sauce. This one's for her.

Roast Vegetables

Most people crave chocolate and cookies and cupcakes and such. While I do crave those things, I mostly crave vegetables. One of my favorite ways to eat them is roasted with olive oil and salt and pepper.

Chocolate Orange Scones

I love scones with coffee. With tea. With hot chocolate. Basically with any warm beverage. I follow Joy the Baker's blog religiously and she always posts things that make my mouth water. This recipe was one of them.

Pizza Puffs

You know those frozen pizza roll things that are so completely addicting but give you the worst heartburn ever? These aren't them. They're better.

Potato Skins

These are my favorite. They're basically bacon transporters. That's all I'm gonna say.


Deviled Eggs

I love deviled eggs. In my family at Easter, everyone gets a hard-boiled dyed egg with their name on it. When it's egg cracking time, you turn to the person next to you and bang your egg against theirs. The person whose egg didn't crack moves on to the next person in the line. This continues until only one person remains with an uncracked egg. Whoever that person was, won all of the eggs. Nobody ever wanted to be that person, considering there's usually tons of hard-boiled eggs to take home. Except me. I wanted to be the winner so that my mom could make hard-boiled eggs and I could eat them all.



Garlic Guacamole

I made a bunch of appetizers for the Superbowl. I'm kind of bad at this blogging thing in that I should of made them ahead of time and then posted them for all you guys out there in cyber world to actually make on the Superbowl. Oh well. We live and we learn.

Turkey, Bacon, Avocado Subs

Charlie and I love this sandwich place nearby, but it's pretty pricey, so we rarely go. I did a re-creation at home, and it was wonderful.


Mocha Cupcakes

I make these cupcakes all of the time because they are my roomie's favorite, and she doesn't even like coffee. They really are delicious.

Rodeo Burgers

Whenever I go to Burger King, which is very rarely, I get a Rodeo Burger. It's essentially a cheeseburger, but with an onion ring and barbecue sauce on top. It's fantastic! I decided to make my at-home version, using recipes I made awhile back.

Lasagna

Let's talk about lasagna and the fact that it looks like chopped up body parts all smashed together in a pan. I wouldn't eat lasagna for a really long time after I had my aunt's and then got the flu or something directly afterwards. Isn't it weird how you can be completely repulsed by a food just because you were sick after eating it? I can't eat Caesar salad's, either. Anyways. Lasagna.

Chicken Parmesan

Tuna Melts

Nobody likes tuna melts. I'm not really sure why, because they are fantastic.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes

That's right, you read correctly. These are not only cupcakes, but chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes. Yeah, you're only going to be able to eat half, but that means you'll have more opportunities to eat these delicious things!


Potato Salad

I LOVE potato salad. All kinds. But only the kinds without mustard, or very little amounts of mustard. Because I'm the only one in this apartment who eats potato salad, I make it very rarely.


Baked Penne

I took a blogging hiatus to focus on my five (yes, five!) English classes this semester. However, that definitely doesn't mean I stopped cooking. I plan to post a ton of stuff tonight, starting with this baked penne. Most baked penne is made with tomato sauce, but I decided to switch things up and use pesto instead.
